The 6th Call for Short Term Scientific Missions (STSM) under the COST Action CA21146 – PURPLEGAIN is now open. These missions provide funding for short research stays in institutions across Europe, aiming to strengthen collaboration and advance knowledge on purple photosynthetic bacteria (PPB) for resource recovery from organic waste.
Researchers engaged in a PhD or postdoctoral programme, or affiliated with research institutions, are eligible to apply. Missions must align with PurpleGain’s objectives and be completed by 30th September 2025. The application deadline is 23rd May 2025.
STSMs offer financial support for travel, accommodation, and daily expenses. They are an excellent opportunity to gain experience, access advanced equipment, and collaborate with international experts.
To apply, select a host institution from the available list, obtain approval from the host researcher, and submit your application via the e-COST platform. Detailed guidelines and templates are available on the COST website.
